Tryouts

Tryouts will be open to all players

Team rosters are a maximum of 25 players, with 18 being able to dress for each match. Since the Super Y - League extends over the spring & summer months, the maximum rostered player approach allows for player absences due to summer vacations.

Any player who is registered with FYSA to a different club other than West Pines United F.C., can continue to play with their respective USYSA team while participating with West Pines United F.C. in the Super Y - League without any requirement of a player release form.

Girl's Teams:

U13 (8-1-94 to 7-31-95)
U14 (8-1-93 to 7-31-94)
U15 (8-1-92 to 7-31-93)
U16 (8-1-91 to 7-31-92)
U17 (8-1-90 to 7-31-91)
Boy's Team:

U17 (8-1-90 to 7-31-91)

U13 - U15 from 6:00PM - 7:30PM
U16 - U17 from 7:30PM - 9:00PM

LOCATION/DIRECTIONS:

Silver Lakes North Park (intersection of NW 172 ave & Sheridan St)

I-75 & exit Sheridan St West & approximately 1 mile
$225 for registered West Pines United player
$325 for non-registered player (difference is the uniform)
Please note, costs are a one time registration fee & there will be no additional fees (monthly training fees, referee fees, etc).
REQUIREMENTS: Copy of birth certificate & 2 passport size pictures

 
Jannel Johnson Selected to the U13G Super Y All-League Team Print E-mail

Jannel Johnson, also known as “Ginger” to all of us at WPU, had the honor of being selected to the U-13 All League team of the 2007 Super Y-League by the United Soccer Leagues (USL). Selections were based off the nominations of opposing coaches made throughout tournament play at last month’s Super Y-League North American Finals held in Tampa, Florida. “Ginger” was placed on the ballot of every coach who witnessed her performance. She is automatically eligible to attend the Super Y-League’s Olympic Development Program’s National Camp to be held in Cocoa Beach this coming January.

April Perry 100... and Counting! Print E-mail

Determination etched on her face she drove towards the incoming ball, relaxing her body to control and evade an intended tackle all in one movement. She started her run up the field, hotly pursued by an opposing player from Monarch High School. First dipping to the left, she skillfully sided to the right to float past another opponent and was driven forcefully to the turf by the pursuing player.

As she propped herself to a sitting position one could only surmise as to the thoughts racing through the mind of April Perry at that moment in time. The senior central midfielder and captain of both the Hollywood Hills High School and West Pines United U-18 girls’ teams knew she would be the one called upon to take the ensuing free-kick. Her team trailed by 3 goals early in the second half of the varsity game and, up to that point, opportunities to trim the score-line had been few and far between.

West Pines United Girls U18 Takes Title at Norcross Nike Cup Print E-mail

West Pines United Under 18 Girls were crowned champions on Sunday at Norcross Nike Cup in Atlanta, Georgia. West Pines United under-18 girls are the new champions of U18/19 Champions Division of the Norcross Nike Cup held in Atlanta, Georgia over the past weekend. The finals, played against the North Atlanta Premier 88’s produced stellar defensive work resulting in neither team able to break the 0-0 deadlock during regulation play.
